Here It comes again ?

What ever this is that is wrong with me , Crohns Disease what ever ... Its flaring up again I think. I have been having some issues w/ my bowels ( sorry TMI ) for the last few days. Mainly stomach hurting when I eat . Today and yesterday slowly my hands and feet started to go numb , my bicep area is starting to "stiffen " up and get achy so is my neck and shoulders . So I am wondering if this is not a flare up of what ever is going on with me. I still have not gone to the Gastro , i will try to get there this week .If I am having a flare up , might be better to get there when I am having issues.

I find it interesting I have gone almost 35 years with out any of these issues .( Besides the gastro issues) and now I am having all these issues close together.
Its interesting why all of a sudden the arthritis issues have come up ?

Oh well it is what it is.

What if my band is trash ?

I have done a lot of thinking lately . I have not had time to go to the gastro to get an "official " diagnose yet. I hope to in the next few weeks. But as of now I am going by what the rhemtoligst told me which is I most likely have Crohns disease. So that being said, and knowing what I know and knowing what I know about my band I was thinking. One of my problems early on with my band was I was very sensitive to fills and unfills. I would swell quite badly around my esophagus and have to go in and get an unfill after getting a fill. You can read a little about that here . Part of crohns disease is your intestines can become irritated can become inflamed and that's what causes your issues. So what if that goes along with why I had issues with my band early on ? Obviously I will have to discuss this with my gastro doc and my surgeon . However it hit me today ... what if my band is trash?
What if I can no longer get any more fills . Its now going to have to sit in my body and I cant use it , cant get any more fills , I wont be able to get the weight off I have on now and I wont be able to stop any more weight from coming back on .
How screwed up would that be ? How TERRIFYING Is that ? Here I paid $12,000 for this surgery , that gave me my life back and I would have to sit here with it in my body useless ! The thought of it ya'll makes me want to eat !

So due to the stress of me just thinking about this I need to get to the doc soon so they can figure out if i can use my band again ! I have put on about 20 pounds i need to get off.

Stiches

My stitches come out tomorrow. Thank god. This wrap on my toe is becoming more of a pain in my ass than anything . I got " in trouble" at work for wearing flip flops . SORRY ass but I cant wear a regular shoe because I have this mongoloid toe , SEE !

I am a merchandiser for a big name company that works inside another BIG store . One of the managers for the BIG store got after me. Well he's not my boss. I dont technically work for him or for his store . I wanted to shove my big mongoloid toe up his tight a$$ !

Sorry I am a little irritated with my toe . At this point it is more of a nuisance than anything. So hopefully tomorrow I wont have too many issues after they come out.
I suspect the toe might be a little tender.

10 more Days of Stiches

(Not my feet by the way )

I had my follow up with the podiatrist today . 10 more days of stitches in my toe ! He said they are healing fine but because of where they are and the potential for infection he wants to keep them in for another week or so . I go back next Friday to get them out . I did tell him though " you have GOT To either put another boot on my foot or do something because that thing kills me , it hurts worse than my toe. " So he wrapped it so I can wear flip flops or a loose fitting shoe . It is much better . Not sure how I will fare after a few hours on my feet at work, but it has to be better than that stupid boot ! And as I sit here and type I realized I forgot to call the gastro to make an appt w/ him today . So I'll try to remember to do that tomorrow.

A thin line between fat and happy and thin and obsessive

So I know someone who is thin , too thin if you ask me . Everyone tells them how awesome they look. I know your thinking WHAT EVER Mindy ... I would give anything ..
But would you ? This person works out hours on end . Is obsessed with it , lives , breaths and eats it. Frankly , It comes to the point where it gets to be an obsession. Where they do and go to any lengths to maintain the look they have . Where every bite that is put into their mouths is monitored . Where every bite their children , spouses, people around them put into their mouths are monitored , thought about , even commented on . Food police at its worst. Im generalizing totally here. But its a type I have seen before.
So what's the lesser of 2 evils ? Being so thin you have to constantly work at it to stay that way ? Or TRYING To get that way to where you have to work hard to get that way ? It seems that no matter where we are we are never really happy !

Lab Results for my Feet

The labs came back for the bumps on my feet.
They are nothing basically . Just fiborious cysts. He said unless they get bigger and bother me there is no reason to do anything about them .
So that's good . One piece of the puzzle out of the way !

I gave her one of the $2.50 coupons and she was thrilled. We both love the got2b smooth lotion . I think i solved the " too clean" issue by using just a little less product . Humpty Bumps Update

I went to the podiatrist today for a check up on my foot after the biopsy on Friday .
Not much to report other than he wanted me to stay off my foot for another day or so .
I thought i was going to get the stiches out and throw away the ugly boot I have to wear but NOOO way Jose. 2 more weeks of the stitches and the boot ! I need to figure out something else to wear , that damn boot hurts more than anything else I think.
The pathology results were not in yet either. The doc did say he thought they were just fibroid cysts . Which if that is the case they will need to be removed from all of my toes. FUN OF FUN. So I go back next week for another check .

I have to make a gastro appt tomorrow as well.
Im off work all this week. So here i sit in bed w/ my foot up ..

On a nother note, I would like to ask for prayers, good thoughts, crossed fingers, what ever it may be you do ... Our very good friends daughter is battling a rare form of cancer, she was diagnosed stage 4. The cancer was gone for a short time and is now back in her spine and in her spinal fluid. The doctors reports have said they do not expect her to make it through the week. She is only 11 years old. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Biopsy

I had my biopsy of the things on my feet done on Friday . I have a ugly little boot to wear until Monday or Tuesday when I go back to the doc . Should have the results back then as well. I got 4 little stitches on my toe .

Hopefully they find out what those things are so they can get rid of them.
I have not had a chance to rest really since the biopsy. I had a bunch of graduation parties this weekend to go to. So hopefully Sunday I can get that done !

I may be gettting closer :

I had some more labs emailed to me today . Although I like the fact that the labs are emailed they do not come w/ much of an explanation . Luckily I have several friends who are nurses who can help me understand. The doc is going to call me tomorrow to help explain things to me . But this is what the lab explanation said " These antibodies can be seen in patients with bowel disorders like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She should share this information with your GI doctor. This gives us more evidence and information that the bowels are important part of her condition at this point. "
and "Saccharomyces cerevisiae IgG antibodies are found in
60-70 percent of Crohn disease (CD) patients and
10-15 percent of ulcerative colitis (UC) patients.
Saccharomyces cerevisiae IgA antibodies are found in
about 35 percent of CD patients but less than 1 percent
in UC patients. Detection of both Saccharomyces IgG
and IgA antibodies in the same serum specimen is
highly specific for CD." (I have both antibodies )

So in other words he's pointing towards the fact that I probably have Chrons disease as well as the arthritis that goes w/ it . I believe its called IBD arthritis .
He still wants me to go in on Friday for the biopsy of my foot.

So it seems we may be getting closer !
