Get this , I have been trying to find insurance for our family , we have been in insured for a long time. My oldest son HAS to have it before he goes to college. So I find this out today !
How stupid is this : BEFORE My lap band I was too FAT For Insurance, no one would give it to me , AFTER No one would insure me becuase i had the band NOW Since I have had issues they wont insure me ! So I can not get insurance unless its through a group plan PERIOD ! EVER ! Unless my band comes out and I am not so sure I could get it then.
I am having some issues again like i did last year with stiff joints and fatigue and pain. So I really wanted to get it fixed, I am in tears right now .

How is that possible? Their not suppose to deny you d/t pre-ex? Did they pull medical records on you? I've never had to get individual insurance though.
ReplyDeletePrivate insurance is different they can deny u for what ever they want. They did not pull records on me but I won't lie , and get in trouble later for fraud, if they decide to pull them on me . If I could get on a group plan they would have to cover me. Or I can get the New pre existing condition insurance , but its over $500a month for just me ! So im pretty much screwed !
ReplyDeleteWow... I'm sorry to hear that. Its not so fun even with group insurance. My job switched us all to high deductible plans, its hell going to a doctor having to basically pay it all out of pocket anyways.
