They say it takes 2 weeks .....

Of working out everyday to make it a habit . So Im on day 2 !
Day 1. 30 minutes of walking/running on the treadmill and about 10 minutes of weights
Day 2. 20 minutes of walking/running on treadmill and 10 on the elliptical and only a few minutes of weights . I did not have much time today , but i knew if i did not go even for a little bit i wouldn't go at all.
My goal is to go for an hour by the end of the week.

Something kind of negative triggered this "working out " thing w/ me .
Well a few things . The first is I cant afford to go get a fill for another few weeks. So I figured If I start working out ( I know something i should have started 2 years ago ) I can at least MAYBE head off any more weight gain .
Second. My best friend of many years was telling me about another friend of her's she ran into that had lap band surgery and she was going on and on about how great she looked and how " she had no hanging skin , and looked so great cause SHE worked out from day one ." she then said " Well she hasnt had kids or anything yet but still she looks great !
NOW mind you she tells me or use to how great I look . But it kind of hit a nerve w/ me , like it was a dig at me that I dont work out .
Maybe its just my guilt at knowing I need to work out . SO that's why I started it .
I still need my fill badly . I cant hardly control my hunger at night . I could go work out all day and come home at night and eat 4 dinners . So I need the control. So hopefully i can get a fill soon !


  1. Don't listen to her. You know how much I work out. Well, I have hanging skin. Exercise doesn't change your skin!

    That other person she knows probably has hanging skin too but wears shapewear and longer sleeves and hides it like I do. Or, if she does have hanging skin, it's because she's genetically blessed or wasn't as big as we were for as long as we were.

    But you should still work out... it helps prevent osteoporosis, heart disease and elevates your mood. :D

  2. Aww girl thanks ! I have not been able to work out this week at all. I have been so busy at work. I think the work I am doing at work though should count ! Lifting, lots of walking , bending up and down I am so sore at the end of the day .
    And your right the friend my friend knows is a few years younger than I am and has not had kids. THAT Right there is a huge thing !
    People see me and cant tell i have excess skin , oh if they only saw me naked !
